My name is Josh Hodge (He/They), and I'm an experienced Amarillo-based theatre artist with twenty-four and counting shows under my belt. I have experience in stage management, properties design, sound design, publicity design, and light board operation. My forte is stage management, and I have plenty of experience in all aspects of the stage management process. When stage managing, I like to make the rehearsal and performance process as fun and enjoyable as possible for the entire company, while still running a tight and efficiently running ship. Theatre should be fun, after all! I am proficient in calling cues, generating paperwork, facilitating efficient and meaningful rehearsals, and keeping designers on track via timely updates sent out after every rehearsal. I make sure that every show that I am involved in is able to come together to create a strong end product, as I believe a good stage manager is able to help directors, actors, and designers to produce good work.

As a designer, you can expect extremely well thought out and developed concepts that reflect in the realized design. I love to take my directors' concepts and put my own inspirations and creative juices into them so that neither of us have to sacrifice our creativity as theatre artists. I put a lot of research and thought

into my work, so that everything is both accurate and stylized.

Another interest of mine is dramaturgy, as it gives me an outlet to do something I love (research and explaining said research in detail), but I have yet to put my interest in dramaturgy into practice. I believe that dramaturgs are a vastly unsung and underutilized part of the theatre world.
